You should watch Terror Squad . It’s absolutely littered with inconsistencies like that; the climactic scene sees a school bus (which has clearly morphed a few times during the chase) suddenly and obviously transform into a short bus before being destroyed , presumably for budgetary reasons.

People who grew up in Kokomo used to have viewing parties where they’d point out the ways in which the movie contradicted itself and the city.

The one that comes to my mind is from the show Burn Notice. A 3rd gen Escalade is driving around recklessly, crashes, and a flipped 1st gen is shown in the next scene. They didn’t even bother to hide the front end.

My primary field of study was film and television production. What I discovered, especially after working for a talent agency, is that I really loathe the whole entertainment industry. Never had to worry about drug testing, however...

I really should have studied architecture. That’s what makes me happy.

I couldn’t do it. Years ago I picked up some novel that involved the commercial aviation industry, and after about 10 pages of rudimentary technical errors I just couldn’t go on. I tossed the book aside and never got any further.

I spent about 6 months on a jobsite with an architect. He was fully licensed, had been an architect for about 3 years, knew a great deal and made exactly half of what did as a construction estimator. Seems like a lot of schooling for little return.

Yeah, that sounds about right. I thought I remembered a study from about a decade ago where architects were in the top 5 as far as happiness in their careers was concerned, but I can’t find any current data that supports that. I’ve been paid extremely well at some jobs yet was miserable every single day, so these days, having seen both sides of the coin, I’d rather be happy than wealthy any day of the week.

I started playing trumpet at age 9, and started dong drafting in HS and really loved maps. I wanted to be a cartographer, but I didn’t get accepted to any of the schools I applied to as a geography major. So I did music, because that’s what I could do. I enjoy it, but I think I would have been really happy as a map maker, although I was much more into the old hand-drawn maps than the new CAD stuff.

Back then, it was more bong drafting than anything else. Maybe that’s why I didn't get accepted to college.
